Manchas de sofrimento: enfrentamentos das comunidades pesqueiras ao derramamento de petróleo de 2019

Abstract

The crime of the oil spill, which occurred on the coast of Northeast Brazil, which began in 2019, directly impacted 59 municipalities in all nine states (IBAMA, 2020[1]1). The impact on which we refer to here, was directed from the experience, the perception, the suffering of men and women, fishermen, fisherwomen and shellfish gatherers who had their way of life affected. The objective of this work is to present, based on knowledge and practices, constituted in the involvement and territorial management existing in fishing communities, a synthesis of maps drawn up by associations, social movements, colonies, network of women, all these fishermen and women from traditional communities directly affected due to the spilled oil and/or the respective socioeconomic effects.
