| dc.description.resumo | A ascensão de lideranças populistas em diversos países do mundo nos últimos anos tem reanimado um intenso e controverso debate acerca do conceito de populismo no âmbito da Filosofia e Ciência Políticas. Nosso propósito aqui é se inserir neste campo minado e tentar contribuir, em alguma medida, com esse debate oferecendo algumas reflexões que visam esclarecer o conceito de populismo. Para tanto, em um primeiro momento, partimos de uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema, apresentando as principais concepções e abordagens mais tradicionais que marcaram o conceito até o início da década de 1990. Em um segundo momento, nosso foco se volta para algumas das concepções mais recentes, sobretudo aquelas que surgiram tendo em vista os avanços do populismo de extrema direita nas últimas décadas. A exposição dessas diversas concepções é importante não apenas para demonstrar a complexidade da tarefa empreendida, mas também porque, em um terceiro momento, procuramos propor uma concepção para o populismo que se beneficia em alguma medida das contribuições dadas pelas reflexões anteriores. É preciso observar, no entanto, que a nossa imersão na revisão bibliográfica, embora abrangente e significativa, ainda está longe de ser exaustiva, pois procuramos focar nas principais abordagens e definições, na medida em que pareceram ajudar no cumprimento do objetivo proposto. | pt_BR |
